The Mummy Man
In 1981 and 1982 citizens of Quincy, Illinois lived in terror. A sexual predator was on the loose, stalking young women. This individual used medical gauze wrapped around his head to hide his identity. This tactic lead local media to start referring to him as “the Mummy Man” This crime spree quickly escalated in violence leaving local law enforcement working tirelessly to solve the crime, that eventually came to a head resulting in murder. Returning guest and former Quincy Herald Whig crime reporter Rodney Hart joins us to share his insights he’s gained from researching this case.
